Zeynep Boyan works through the relationships between body, material, time, and space. With a background in cinema, she approaches sculpture as a choreography of matter, using hand-built stoneware to examine how forms, supports, and surrounding spaces depend on and shape one another. Moving between abstraction and bodily suggestion, her sculptures evoke gestures, postures, and partial references to the human body without becoming figurative. Across individual sculptures and multi-part works, Boyan investigates how the relationships that sustain us shape our sense of self, memory, and belonging.

Zeynep Boyan (b. 1994, Adana, Türkiye) is a Turkish-Dutch artist based in Munich. She studied Radio, Television and Cinema at Yeditepe University in Istanbul and has developed her sculptural practice through independent research and studio experimentation since 2021. Her work has been presented in Montréal, Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, Munich, Istanbul, New York, and Dubai.
